Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about creating, printing, and tracking static & dynamic QR codes with QRnaly.

Yes. QRnaly allows you to generate and download unlimited static QR codes for URLs, WhatsApp messages, Wi-Fi networks, and vCard business cards completely free without creating an account or providing payment details.

No. All QR codes created on QRnaly conform to the ISO/IEC 18004 international QR code standard. They can be scanned directly by the default camera app on modern Apple iOS (iPhone/iPad) and Android smartphones.

Select your required content type (Website URL, WhatsApp, Wi-Fi, vCard, PDF, or Social Profile) on the generator, enter your details, customize colors and corner styles, and download your high-resolution PNG or vector SVG file immediately.

In a Static QR code, your destination URL or data payload is encoded directly into the pixel pattern. It works permanently offline and never expires, but cannot be changed once printed and does not track scan counts. In a Dynamic QR code, the pattern encodes a shortlink (qrnaly.com/q/slug) that redirects to your target URL. This lets you edit the destination link at any time without reprinting and provides detailed real-time scan analytics.

Yes! That is the primary superpower of dynamic QR codes. If your landing page URL changes, a restaurant menu is updated, or a seasonal campaign rotates, simply log in to your QRnaly dashboard and update the destination URL. All printed physical codes will immediately redirect to the new URL.

No. Static QR codes have no expiration date and do not rely on QRnaly redirect servers. As long as the target website, Wi-Fi network, or vCard details remain functional, the static QR code will scan indefinitely.

QRnaly tracks total scan volume, unique scans, time-of-day and day-of-week trends, device operating system breakdown (iOS, Android, Windows, macOS), browser user agents, and geographic location distribution by country and city.

Yes. QRnaly strictly prioritizes scanner privacy. We do not track or store personal identifiers, device GPS coordinates, or cookies of individual end-users who scan your codes. All telemetry is aggregated and privacy-preserving.

Yes. In QR Studio, you can use our built-in UTM builder to specify utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, and utm_content parameters so scan traffic maps seamlessly into Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Mixpanel, or Adobe Analytics.

Always download the Vector SVG format for physical print campaigns (billboards, packaging, signage, flyers, brochures, and standees). Unlike pixel images, vector SVGs can be scaled to any size without blur, edge softening, or loss of camera scanability.

Follow the 10:1 distance-to-size formula: QR Code Width = Scanning Distance ÷ 10. For example, if customers will scan your table tent from 50 cm away, the QR code should be at least 5 cm × 5 cm. For billboards viewed from 10 meters away, the QR code must be at least 1 meter wide.

The Quiet Zone is the clear, margin border surrounding the outer edges of the QR matrix (minimum 4 blocks width). Keeping this border clean and free of illustrations, text, or textured backgrounds allows camera algorithms to locate the finder patterns accurately.

Advanced capabilities—including creating editable dynamic QR codes, viewing scan analytics telemetry, custom vector branding kits, cloud PDF/image hosting, and multi-user workspace access—require a Pro (₹399/mo) or Business (₹999/mo) plan.

Your dynamic QR codes remain intact in your dashboard. If your account exceeds free tier limits, active redirection continues during grace periods, and you can reactivate full telemetry and editing anytime.

Yes. QRnaly incorporates automated security scanning, Google Safe Browsing verification, and real-time abuse reporting to ensure QR shortlinks cannot be hijacked for phishing or malicious payloads.

No. Free static Wi-Fi QR codes are encoded entirely locally inside your browser using client-side JavaScript. Your Wi-Fi network SSID and password are never transmitted, logged, or stored on our servers.
